Our skilled practitioners fully understand the varying needs of children and the changing requirements as children develop between the ages of 3 months and preschool age.

 

Casterbridge cater fully for these requirements by offering:

 

Age appropriate rooms – children of different ages are cared for in rooms equipped to suit the care and development needs of their age group.

 

Age appropriate outdoor play areas – our nurseries offer safe and secure outdoor play areas where children of similar ages play together with outdoor equipment suited to their age and ability.

 

Staff ratios – the ratio of staff to children changes according to the age of the children in the room, with babies being cared for by one member of staff to a maximum of 3 children and toddlers one member of staff to a maximum of 5 children. These ratios meet government guidelines.

 

Age specific curriculum – by working within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework we ensure that the learning and developmental needs of children of all ages are met.
